Celebs Try to Out-Camp Each Other on Met Gala Red Carpet

NEW YORK (AP) - Cardi B swept an impressive red quilted dress accented with a matching sequin headdress, feathers and a train that took up much of the pink carpet. Jared Leto was accompanied by his own head (fake) and Katy Perry. it arrived on Monday night as a candlestick of candles in the crazy and happy Met Gala.

Lady Gaga used the carpet as a catwalk and changing station (winning giggles and slaps from Anna Wintour) and Tiffany Haddish carried fried chicken in a plastic bag when many of the A list guests worked on the camp theme to the fullest. That included Zendaya, whose Cinderella Tommy Hilfiger dress shone with the wave of a magic wand. He dropped one of his transparent slippers on the way down the long staircase of the Metropolitan Museum of Art for cocktail hour.

Also princess, of the spicy variety: Nicki Minaj in a short pink dress from Prabal Gurung with yards and yards to her train, the last star to walk on the carpet.

Perry, whose appearance was created by Jeremy Scott for Moschino, said she wanted to be "of light", although she seemed worried about her heavy appearance that would fall when she smiled and walked precariously up the stairs, designer Diane von Furstenberg briefly in her orbit as lady freedom.

Perry, Bella Hadid delivered, "she had to be transported here in a UPS truck." (She changed from candlestick to a fully loaded Moschino burger for dinner).
